Spirit Week 2019 is quickly approaching for the Madonna University students and faculty.
Hosted by Connie Tingson- Gatuz and the Mission Integration Core Team, Spirit week’s mission is to bring the students and faculty of Madonna University together under the Holy Spirit to practice their Felician values in coordinated events. The university has four events planned for November.
To kick off the Spirit week, the first event will take place 1:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18.
There will be a fun and high spirited luncheon taking place in the PAAC.
To continue the festivities, Tuesday, November 19th will be Appreciation Day. This event will be taking place all day, and participants will be able to attend the event campus wide.
This event is not located in one specific area.
The third event will be the Mass of Remembrance. Participants will meet at the University Capel at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. There will be a reception following Mass in the Franciscan Center.
The fourth and final event will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. This event will be the Founder’s Day Mass. The Mass will take place in the University Capel.
Students are more than welcome to join in any of these events.
Madonna junior and Sign Language Major Hannah Kutsch hopes to attend these events to become closer to her faith.
“I am always working on my relationship with God and furthering my religious beliefs so I’m very grateful Madonna is hosting these Spirit week events. I am especially looking forward to connecting with my peers on something deeper, rather than our normal conversations” she said.
