As campus becomes covered with its first major snowfall, many students become struck with holiday spirit. For some this fresh snow and cold air may mean staying inside for approximately the next four months until the warm air returns. In order to help pass the days away and become more jolly, try watching the following Christmas and winter themed movies, all of which can be currently found on Netflix. Each of these movies are perfect for the holiday season approaching and a great way to stay inside while it is bitter cold.
1. The Christmas Chronicles
The Christmas Chronicles features siblings, Kate and Teddy Piece who lost their father when they were young. 3. The Grinch Stole Christmas.
This movie is a classic as many of us have seen it multiple times. However, as we age, we all seem to relate to the Grinch more and more. We may not relate in terms of a “hating Christmas” attitude but instead in the preference of being alone with our dog. For those who have not seen the Grinch, the main character is a green creature who lives away from society in a cave with only his dog. He is very hateful of Christmas until another character with an open mind helps his heart grow and become warm with holiday spirit. This film is an hour and 50 minutes long. Rating: 8/10.
4. Christmas with the Kranks.
This movie does not start as a standard Christmas as the Krank family does not wish to celebrate the holiday. Instead, they will be going on a cruise. With an unexpected turn of events, the Kranks scramble to pull off a perfect Christmas. This film is one hour and 39 minutes. Rating: 9/10
